Niebardzo rozumiem ten najazd na gooralesko. Faktycznie kolega nie pokazal pomiarow swojej konstrukcji lecz nie oznacza to, aby nie wierzyc w jego slowa. Problem w tym, ze tak naprawde niewiele osob mialo okazje sluchac prawdziwego systemu subniskotonowego, zdolnego do wygenerowania czestotliwosci ponizej 20hz z niskimi znieksztalceniami. Problem w tym, ze takich systemow jest tyle co kot naplakal i nie ma sie co dziwic, ze ktos nie wierzy w efektywne odczyuwanie tak niskich czestotliwosci. Przypomina mi test topowej linii transmisyjnej TDL Reference Standard. Ogromnego smoka z dwoma tunelami i dwoma glosnikami owalnymi, zdolnymi wygenerowac nawet 16hz.

In spite of high fidelity's 60 year history it is surprising how very few people have ever had the experience of listening to reproduced sound from sources which comfortably exceed the frequency range of human hearing; and it is the loudspeaker which has set the limit, not nowadays in the higher frequencies but certainly in the extreme bass. Recent exposure to 'blockbuster' films in certain cinemas has demonstrated the possible value of such an extension but it is rarely related to music or real life. And yet we live in a full frequency range world, some of it stirring the senses - the deep throb of a cathedral organ, the thud of a mortar sending ever more beautiful fireworks high above us, the rhythmic beat of a military band on the march, the lightest touch on the big bass drum at a Prom. And
Of course some of it is less than desirable - the continuous rumble of traffic, Concorde, someone slamming a car door at midnight, passing helicopters, distant thunder heralding a storm. 1-ugh fidelity by definition should embrace them all. And here it can. Applying a pure 16Hz from an oscillator produces no actual sound since on its own it is below the audible range, but it can be noticed to modulate other sounds. Increasing volume soon has doors and windows rattling and the body begins to feel it but there is no other sensation of sound, as one can prove by blocking the ear canals; quite remarkable.
And so we come to an attempt to describe the sound of a pair of loudspeakers which do all this and do it consummately well. The first impression, before a note is played, is atmosphere, a sense of being there. You will learn to despise the disc editor who launches his product straight into the music without letting you into the building first-even more he who chops the last decaying chord without allowing you time to take a deep breath.
